Who we are
Safeguarding Services, established in 2017, supports organisations with safeguarding responsibilities through investigations, independent reviews, governance advice and training. The work is serious and often sensitive. We counterbalance that with strong supervision, disciplined methods, and a genuinely supportive team culture (including structured debriefing and quality review).
The role
We are seeking experienced investigators who can run independent investigations and produce clear, evidence-based, procedurally fair outcomes that stand up to scrutiny.
What you’ll actually do
- Plan and run investigations end-to-end (scoping, enquiries, evidence, analysis, detailed report writing).
- Conduct interviews with witnesses, complainants and respondents, professionally and respectfully.
- Keep records that are accurate, secure and defensible.
- Write reports that are detailed, clear, logical and readable.
- Work alongside a team that cares about doing this work properly and sustainably.
You’ll fit well if you…
- Can separate facts from assumptions (and don’t get emotionally attached to either).
- Stay calm when matters are complex, contested, or time sensitive.
- Treat people with empathy and professionalism, while maintaining boundaries and objectivity.
- Can produce a report that a decision-maker can follow.
