Who we are
Safeguarding Services, established in 2017, supports organisations with safeguarding responsibilities through investigations, independent reviews, governance advice and training. The work is serious and often sensitive. We counterbalance that with strong supervision, disciplined methods, and a genuinely supportive team culture (including structured debriefing and quality review).
The role
We are seeking experienced safeguarding professionals who can assess frameworks and capability, identify risk, and develop safeguarding policies/procedures and governance documentation that clients can actually implement.
What you’ll actually do

- Interview leaders/staff/volunteers to understand how things work in reality (not just on paper).
- Analyse risk and maturity; identify practical improvement priorities.
- Write clear reports and recommendations.
- Draft and refine policies/procedures so they are compliant, usable, and not 87 pages of “please refer to Appendix 14”.
You’ll fit well if you…
- Can translate standards and obligations into practical steps (without losing accuracy).
- Are a strong writer who likes clarity, structure and a clean audit trail.
- Can engage well with stakeholders and keep work moving.
- Understand confidentiality and professional boundaries as default settings.
