We help organisations meet their safeguarding obligations under the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission framework – supporting leaders and staff to prevent harm, respond effectively to incidents and promote the rights and wellbeing of every participant.
Understanding Safeguarding in the Disability Sector
Safeguarding in disability services requires more than compliance.
It demands a culture that recognises vulnerability, values inclusion and responds to risk with integrity. We assist organisations to align with:
- NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework
- NDIS (Incident Management and Reportable Incidents) Rules 2018
- Disability Service Standards
- NDIS Code of Conduct
Our work ensures organisations meet their obligations while promoting dignity, choice and participation for people with disability.
Common Challenges for Disability Providers
Through our work with NDIS-registered providers, we see consistent challenges that our team helps to address:
Complex incident reporting
Obligations and fear of regulatory error
Staff capability gaps
In identifying and responding to safeguarding risks
Cultural tension
Between service delivery and compliance priorities
Inconsistent follow-up
After reportable incidents
Pressure on management
To maintain documentation and oversight under scrutiny
– embedding systems that are both effective and sustainable.

Improving Incident Response in an NDIS Provider
A large NDIS organisation engaged Safeguarding Services to review its incident management system and response processes. We delivered a gap analysis, policy overhaul and training for 300 staff across multiple sites. Following implementation, the provider achieved full compliance and reported faster, more consistent incident reporting outcomes.
