Sectors We Support

Safeguarding Services works with organisations that serve children, young people and vulnerable adults across a diverse range of sectors.

Each sector faces unique risks, legal obligations and cultural challenges – but all share one goal:

Creating environments where people are safe, respected and supported.

Our team brings deep experience across education, disability, faith, aged care, out-of-home care and sport, providing independent expertise that helps organisations meet their safeguarding responsibilities with confidence.

Education

Schools and learning communities carry a profound duty of care. We help education providers implement the Child Safe Standards, respond to reportable conduct and build safeguarding capability among leaders and staff.

Safeguarding Services supports early childhood, primary, secondary, boarding, and tertiary institutions in embedding safety into their governance, policies, and culture.

Faith & Religious Organisations

Religious institutions face complex safeguarding challenges shaped by governance structures, community expectations and the need for transparency and healing.

We partner with faith-based organisations to strengthen professional standards, manage complaints and embed safeguarding principles into mission and ministry.

Disability Organisations

Disability service providers operate within highly regulated environments where safeguarding, rights and inclusion must go hand in hand.

We assist NDIS and disability organisations in managing reportable incidents, meeting Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements, and fostering safe and supportive service cultures for participants and staff alike.

Aged Care

Aged care providers are entrusted with protecting some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Safeguarding Services supports aged care organisations in responding to incidents, improving governance, and aligning with the Aged Care Quality Standards. Our work helps ensure older Australians are treated with dignity, respect and safety.

Out-of-Home Care

Residential and foster care services must meet stringent safeguarding and compliance requirements while providing compassionate, trauma-informed care.

We support out-of-home care providers with policy development, staff training and incident management, helping create environments that protect children and build community trust.

Sports

Safeguarding in sport is about more than compliance – it’s about protecting the wellbeing and integrity of athletes, coaches and volunteers.

We work with sporting organisations, peak bodies, clubs and associations to embed the National Integrity Framework, deliver safeguarding training and respond appropriately to complaints and misconduct.

Government

Local councils, shires, state and territory government departments have a duty to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults using public services and programs.

Safeguarding Services provides policy and framework design, systemic reviews, independent investigations, compliance advice and tailored training, plus stakeholder consultation and interagency coordination to improve outcomes and maintain public trust.
